I named this image ‘Strum’ for the way the wind seems to be strumming the water. It creates a mottled, fairy floss effect with the sunset light. It has a beautiful, calming quality.
Silver Gelatin:
This image was made by hand by me in the darkroom. Silver gelatin is the term given to the light sensitive coating on darkroom paper and this is why darkroom prints are called silver gelatin prints. They are unique, one of a kind, original objects subject to the imperfections of the handmade process. Even if the image itself is reprinted, no copy can ever be exactly replicated. They are artefacts and are made with love, attention and heart.
